Better yet, buying a TV this big no longer means spending a fortune. Right now, you can find 98- and 100-inch TVs starting at around $1,400. That's still a major purchase, but it's dramatically less than what TVs this size used to cost.I've spent more than a decade reviewing home entertainment gear, and I used that experience to narrow down the best 100-inch TVs you can buy right now (including 97- and 98-inch models). For most people, the TCL QM8K is the best choice. It costs less than comparable big-screen TVs from brands like Samsung while still delivering excellent brightness and contrast. But if you're on a tighter budget, the TCL Q65 is my top entry-level pick. Its overall picture quality can't quite match the QM8K, but for under $1,500, you're still getting a sharp, colorful image on a seriously huge screen.Below, I've rounded up the five best 100-inch TVs available today. Just note that the exact screen size varies slightly by brand and panel type. In this guide, I'm grouping 97-, 98-, and 100-inch models together so you can see the strongest options across that range. Our top picks for the best 100-inch TVsBest overall: TCL QM8K QLED 4K TV - See at AmazonBest midrange: TCL QM7K QLED 4K TV - See at AmazonBest entry-level: TCL Q65 QLED 4K TV - See at AmazonBest premium Mini LED: TCL X11L SQD 4K TV - See at AmazonBest high-end OLED: LG G5 OLED 4K TV - See at AmazonBest overallThe TCL QM8K QLED is the best 98-inch TV for people who want excellent image quality without paying an outrageous price. This model has a list price of $4,000, but is sometimes on sale for right under $3,000. Although that's still a solid investment in a TV, it's much less than similar 100-inch sets from brands like Samsung, Sony, and LG.The QM8K features a Mini LED backlight with local dimming, delivering high brightness and impressive contrast. It also boasts a fast 144Hz refresh rate for PC gamers and smooth Google TV navigation. When testing the 65-inch model, our reviewer measured a peak brightness of 3,648 nits on a 10% window in the TV's most accurate mode and around 4,999 nits in the TV's brightest mode. This enables HDR videos to pop with bold, vibrant highlights. It also makes it easier to adjust settings to overcome reflections in rooms with a lot of light.Though the TV's backlight can't match an OLED's precision, the QM8K's contrast control is still really good. Only a few top-tier Mini LED and RGB LED models, like the TCL X11L and Sony Bravia 9 II, can outperform it. Blooming, halos, and light bleed are rare, even when sampling especially tricky scenes. Black levels are excellent as well and appear deeper than on the cheaper QM7K, though not quite as deep as on the X11L. Viewing angles are also solid for a QLED. There are still shifts in color and contrast when viewing the display from an angle, but not enough to make the image appear washed out.Compared to similar QLED sets from other brands, the QM8K delivers exceptional value. For instance, the 98-inch QM8K outperforms Samsung's 98-inch QN90F in several areas. But depending on current discounts, the QN90F costs a whopping $5,000 to $12,000 more than the QM8K. Samsung's TVs are known for better build quality, but it's hard to justify such a gigantic price gap when image quality is so similar.TCL also has a new 2026 edition of this TV, called the QM8L. The updated model offers similar performance but uses TCL's new SQD tech to deliver a wider color range. I tested the QM8L, and it's an impressive TV. But for now, I still give the QM8K an edge since it's typically on sale for a lot less. You can learn more in my TCL QM8L TV review.Read our TCL QM8K 4K TV review.Visit our guide to the best TCL TVs. Buy if: You want a huge TV with excellent brightness and contrast, and a price that's easier to digest than similar models from Samsung, Sony, or LG.Skip if: You want the absolute best black levels and local dimming that TCL offers, or you need more than two HDMI 2.1 ports. Best midrangeWhen considering overall performance for the money, the TCL QM7K stands out from other midrange TVs. Its price often fluctuates between $1,898 and $2,499, depending on sales and availability. But even on that higher end, it's a good value for a 98-inch QLED in this class.Like the QM8K, the QM7K features a Mini LED backlight with local dimming. That said, this step-down model can't get as bright as the QM8K, and its contrast is a bit lower. When reviewing the 65-inch model, I measured a peak brightness of around 1,800 nits, and the 98-inch size should be comparable. This enables the TV to produce solid HDR hi
