Julius Berger, Lagos deepen collaboration on infrastructure

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc and the Lagos State Water Corporation (LSWC) have strengthened collaboration on integrated water and road infrastructure development across the state. Speaking during a courtesy visit by the management of the LSWC to Julius Berger’s Regional Office in Ijora, Lagos, the Regional Commercial Manager, Alexander Bauer, underscored the importance of fostering strong relationships between neighbouring institutions. He noted that closer cooperation between the two organisations could create opportunities for technical support and infrastructure collaboration whenever required. “We believe in knowing our neighbours and working together where our interests align. Julius Berger remains committed to supporting sustainable infrastructure development, and we are always open to engaging with stakeholders such as the Lagos State Water Corporation whenever technical support or collaboration is required,” he said. He noted that Lagos State and the Federal Ministry of Works remain among the construction firm’s major infrastructure clients, making effective coordination with key public institutions essential for successful project delivery, even as he reaffirmed the company’s commitment to long-term engineering solutions. He emphasized that Lagos State and the Federal Ministry of Works remain key clients of the construction giant, making collaboration crucial to the delivery of major public infrastructure projects. Leader of the LSWC delegation and the Corporation’s Managing Director, Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani, described the visit as a relationship-building initiative intended to establish stronger ties between both organisations. “We are neighbours who have operated within the same environment for years, yet we have had limited interaction. This visit is an opportunity to change that and create a platform for closer collaboration moving forward,” he said. The LSWC Managing Director stated that the visit was prompted by ongoing activities within the water sector and the need to establish a closer working relationship with Julius Berger.
