The Allied Progressive Movement (APM) has won all the 20 Local Governments Areas in the August 17, 2026 Local Government Elections in Bauchi State. The Executive Chairman of the Bauchí State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC), Hajiya Jummai S. Abubakar, who announced the results in her Monday in Bauchi said that elections were held peacefully across the 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State on Monday, 17th August, 2026. Speaking on councilorship election, the Chairperson, said of the 323 Wards, the APM secured 319 seats, while the remaining four seats were won as follows: SDP: Dandango Ward, Bauchi LGA, NRM: Darazo South Ward, Darazo LGA, ZLP: Wandi Ward, Dass LGA YPP: Zirami Ward, Giade LGA She added that the Commission particularly appreciates Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, for his support to the Commission, while reaffirming that the elections were conducted independently and in accordance with the law.
