Stakeholders are expected to converge to unlock the food processing and packaging value chain sector at the 2026 Propak West Africa Summit. The summit with the theme for this year’s leadership forum: “Unlocking Growth in Food Processing & Packaging: Drivers, Opportunities, Constraints and Economic Linkages”, is scheduled to be held September 8-10, 2026 at Lagos. A statement by the organisers said the Summit will bring together leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, investors, technology providers and development partners to explore the key factors driving sustainable growth across the food processing and packaging value chain. It added that the discussions will focus on identifying emerging opportunities, addressing industry constraints, strengthening regional value chains, and examining the economic linkages that will shape the future competitiveness of the sector. “We are pleased to announce that Alex Gendis, Chief Executive Officer of Beta Glass Plc, will deliver the Opening Keynote Address,” the statement read. It stressed that the speaker, Gendis, will share insights into the evolving landscape of food processing and packaging, highlighting the strategic investments, innovation, sustainability initiatives, and industry collaboration required to unlock long-term growth across West Africa. “His keynote address is particularly timely and closely aligned with this year’s Summit theme, offering valuable perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and strategic priorities shaping the future of the industry,” the statement added.
