The Port & Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria (POTEMAN) will bring together stakeholders in the maritime and logistics industries to explore investment opportunities and promote innovation across Nigeria’s port and logistics sectors. The Portpreneurship Conference 2026, Corporate Awards and Young Port and Terminal Practitioners Competition will hold from August 27 to 28 at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos. Themed “Portpreneurship 2026: Unlocking the Potentials in the Port, Logistics, Maritime and Supply Chain Industries,” the conference will focus on entrepreneurship, investment, innovation and strategies to improve the competitiveness of Nigeria’s maritime ecosystem. The programme will feature keynote addresses, technical presentations, panel discussions and a competition for young port and terminal practitioners to showcase innovative solutions to industry challenges. POTEMAN Vice Chairman, Sir Dr Henry Muogho, said the conference would promote partnerships and practical solutions capable of strengthening Nigeria’s position as a competitive maritime and logistics hub. The academy urged government agencies, terminal operators, shipping and logistics companies, investors, technology firms, academics and professional bodies to participate in the event. POTEMAN said stronger collaboration among government, industry and academia would help drive investment, job creation, trade facilitation and operational efficiency across the maritime value chain.
