Space station startup Vast has laid off 46 employees, or 4% of its workforce, due to performance-related reasons. The company is developing a commercial replacement for the International Space Station and recently raised $500 million to support its goal of launching the first commercial space station in 2027. A spokesperson confirmed the cuts and noted that the company is still hiring for 277 open roles.
