The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) of MONUSCO destroyed several explosive remnants of war in Bule, Djugu Territory, Ituri Province, on August 18. The operation was conducted after residents discovered three explosive devices in the town's commercial center. The devices were found by residents returning after nearly nine months at a displacement site. UNMAS teams from Bunia safely carried out the destruction, eliminating a direct threat to civilians.
