The Allied Peoples' Movement has dismissed the Federal Government's claim of N15.8 trillion in savings from petroleum subsidy removal, calling it a litany of lies and inconsistencies. The party alleged the figures are meant to divert attention from mismanagement of proceeds. APM demanded a comprehensive account of the funds, including allocations to state and local governments and disbursement dates. The party also faulted the Minister of Finance for the figure, noting it contradicts other statements.
