Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has advised young workers struggling with high rental costs to consider living with parents, relatives, or sharing accommodation instead of renting apartments they cannot afford. Speaking on Nigeria Info FM, he responded to concerns about a worker earning ₦100,000 monthly facing annual rent of about ₦1 million. Hamzat stressed that young people should choose accommodation based on their financial capacity and that starting out with family is culturally acceptable.
