3 African countries that have never borrowed from IMF

Three African countries—Botswana, Libya, and Eritrea—have never drawn financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), despite being members. Botswana, an IMF member since 1968, has maintained its relationship through consultations and surveillance. Libya, a member since 1958, has also avoided IMF-supported loans. Eritrea, which joined in 1994, completes the list, having never received IMF financial assistance.
