BPP blocks inflated contracts, saves FG N1.4trn in 18 months

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has saved the Federal Government approximately N1.4 trillion in 18 months by blocking inflated contract prices through price intelligence and benchmarking. Director-General Adebowale Adedokun announced this during a media interview in Lagos. He noted that contractors now seek the agency's price benchmarks before submitting bids, a reform introduced about two years ago.
