The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) will commence the Founder Training programme of the ACE Startup Academy 2026 in Abuja on 24 August. The programme attracted 3,856 applicants from across Nigeria, with approximately 120 participants selected from about 50 teams, representing a competition ratio of roughly 32.1 to 1. Professor Gee Hyun Hwang, Project Manager, noted that the high number of applications demonstrates strong interest in entrepreneurship and digital technology among Nigerian youth. The selection process was conducted fairly and strictly according to established criteria, and the training will run for four weeks.
