How Enugu Air plane overran Benin Airport runway – NSIB

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has released a preliminary report on the Enugu Air runway overrun at Benin Airport on July 23. The report states that Air Traffic Control advised the crew that Runway 23 was better for approach, but the crew continued with an RNAV approach to Runway 05. The aircraft overran the runway, struck approach lighting, and collided with concrete structures. All 63 passengers and five crew members were safely evacuated.
