Police in Benue State have rescued 13 more passengers who were abducted along the Otukpo–Adoka road while traveling from Enugu to Abuja last week. This brings the total number of rescued victims to 18. The rescue operation, conducted at about 2am on Thursday at Amla-Icho Forest in Otukpo Local Government Area, followed five days of sustained search efforts by police and local security personnel. The police acted on credible intelligence and encountered the kidnappers and their victims during the night operation.
