Arsenal have signed defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa in a deal worth £55 million on Friday. The 28-year-old was unveiled on the opening day of the season, with Arsenal hosting Coventry in their first match. Konsa signed a four-year deal with an option for an extra year and was handed the number 15 shirt. He spent seven years at Aston Villa, winning the UEFA Europa League, and joins a defence that conceded the fewest goals last season. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta described Konsa as a defender of proven Premier League experience.
