FIFA hand Paredes 10-match ban over World Cup final clash

FIFA has banned three Argentina players and one official for a total of 19 matches following a mass brawl after the 2026 World Cup final. Argentina lost the final to Spain 1-0 after extra time, and the outcome led to clashes between Argentine and Spanish players and officials. FIFA's disciplinary committee handed Paredes a 10-match ban, Nahuel Molina a seven-match ban, and Thiago Almada a one-match ban. Heavy fines were also imposed on the players, the official, and the Argentine football association, which also faces a stadium closure.
