Imo State has achieved a healthcare milestone with its first robotic-assisted surgery, performed at the Imo Robotics and Oncology Centre (IROC) in Owerri. The procedure was led by Professor Kingsley Ekwueme, a UK-based consultant robotic surgeon, alongside a team of Nigerian and international specialists. Governor Uzodimma stated that this landmark will make advanced healthcare more accessible and affordable.
