The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has ordered the withdrawal of charges against Maryam Isah Shehu and Abubakar Shuraim Abdulhamad. The two were arraigned on cybercrime allegations but the charges were dropped on compassionate grounds. The decision was announced in a statement by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale.
