The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has assured depositors of 46 microfinance banks whose licences were revoked by the Central Bank of Nigeria that they are protected. NDIC Managing Director Thompson Oludare stated that payments to eligible depositors are ongoing. He noted that new beneficiaries are still being identified, so a final figure is not yet available.
