The federal government and Borno State Government have intensified efforts to secure the release of 44 primary school pupils abducted from Mussa community in Askira/Uba Local Government Area, according to Governor Babagana Zulum. Parents of the abducted children protested in Uba town, demanding government action nearly 100 days after the abduction on May 15. Senator Ali Ndume has called on the Nigerian Army to redouble efforts to rescue the victims.
