Peter Agada, an architect and entrepreneur, has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2027 election, following the party's final substitution primary. Agada, a former Labour Party presidential aspirant, explained that he joined YPP because of its ideology-driven constitution and its potential to address Nigeria's leadership failures. He rejected coalitions lacking ideological compatibility and outlined his vision of lean governance, reduced borrowing, 'ward capitalism,' and broader economic inclusion.
