Senator Ida Calls for 10-year Tourism Transformation Roadmap

Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Ida, Chancellor of Umara Musa Yar'Adua University in Katsina, has called for a 10-year Tourism Reform Agenda for Nigeria. Speaking at the ninth Nigeria Tourism Investors Forum and Exposition (NTIFE) 2026 and the 29th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) in Abuja, he proposed the establishment of a National Tourism Marketing Council and a Tourism Development Fund. Ida stressed the urgency of moving from talk to action to unlock Nigeria's tourism potential.
