The National Income Activation Initiative (NIAI) was unveiled at the Presidential Villa in Abuja as a private-sector-led platform to connect women, youths, and other economically under-engaged Nigerians with income opportunities. The initiative was launched during the Second National Gender Inclusion Conference, #SheIsIncluded 2026, organized by the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion. Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized that Nigeria's goal of a $1 trillion economy requires greater women's participation. The NIAI is part of the government's shift towards an 'architecture of delivery' to link citizens with skills, capital, and markets.
