The Federal Government and the Borno State Government have intensified efforts to secure the release of 44 schoolchildren abducted from Mussa community in Askira/Uba Local Government Area. Governor Babagana Zulum met with parents of the abducted pupils in Maiduguri on Friday, following their appeal for urgent intervention. Zulum expressed sympathy and assured them of President Bola Tinubu's commitment, noting that security agencies have been directed to intensify efforts. The Nigerian Armed Forces and the Borno Government are working together to achieve the safe return of the children.
