The Edo State Government has stated that Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, is free to visit the state. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kassim Afegbua, dismissed an online report claiming that Davido had been banned from entering the state. The report had suggested a ban following recriminations between the Adelekes and Governor Monday Okpebholo during the recently concluded Osun guber poll. Afegbua described the report as false and said the state government dissociated itself from such 'spiteful behaviour by an impostor and fraud'.
