The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old man, Otaru Jonathan, for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl in the Afokoella area of Okpella community, Etsako East Local Government Area. The State Commissioner of Police, Patrick Daaor, said the suspect took the minor to an uncompleted building where he allegedly had unlawful sexual intercourse with her. After the act, the suspect reportedly gave the victim 2,000 naira to keep quiet. The victim has been taken to a hospital for medical attention.
