The Gombe State University branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its planned strike action. The suspension gives the government until October 2026 to implement agreements reached with the union. The decision was made to allow for further dialogue and avoid disruption of academic activities. The union had earlier threatened to strike over unmet demands.
