Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected gunrunner and recovered an AK-47 rifle and other items in Plateau State. The operation, conducted in collaboration with vigilantes and local hunters, followed the abduction of Dr Abraham Owoicho. A 30-year-old woman, Halima Ibrahim, was apprehended with two AK-47 rifle magazines, and a search of her residence led to the recovery of additional weapons. In a separate operation in Edo State, troops rescued a kidnapped victim.
