Senator Ali Ndume has called on the Nigerian Army to intensify efforts to rescue 78 school children and one teacher abducted by insurgents from two communities in Southern Borno. The abductions occurred in May and June, with 42 pupils taken from Mussa and 36 students and a teacher from Lassa. Ndume made the appeal during a visit to the Theatre Command, North East 'Operation Hadin', where he met with the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar.
