Four members of the same family in Ihima community, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, have died after consuming a local meal known as Amala, made from cassava flour. The family's dog also died after eating the same food, raising concerns about possible contamination or poisoning. The Kogi State Government has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident. The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, stated that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has directed a thorough inquiry to determine the cause of the deaths.
