Kwara APC loses 12 ward executives after senator’s exit

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost 12 ward executives in Gambari Ward 1, Ilorin East, following the defection of Senator Saliu Mustapha to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The defection is seen as a significant blow to the party's structure in the area ahead of the 2027 general elections. The ward executives resigned their positions in solidarity with the senator, further weakening the APC's grassroots presence in the constituency.
