The Benue State government has approved N294.53 million as counterpart funding for the 2026 Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) Campaign. The approval was given at a State Executive and Security Council meeting presided over by Governor Hyacinth Alia. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Paul Ogwuche Ejeh, commended the governor for the decision, stating it demonstrates commitment to protecting children and strengthening preventive healthcare.
