Nigeria's women's beach volleyball team has qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time by defeating Morocco 2-0 in the final of the 2026 CAVB Women's Beach Volleyball Championship in Alexandria, Egypt. The team won the sets 21-17 and 21-10, securing a place at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Earlier, they had beaten Mozambique in the semi-final. The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, congratulated the team, calling the qualification a milestone.
