Forty journalists from the North-central, South-east, and South-south geopolitical zones have committed to strengthening ethical and child-sensitive reporting. The commitment was made at a two-day national workshop on ethical reporting of children, organized by the Child Rights Information Bureau (CRIB) and UNICEF in Port Harcourt. The workshop focused on the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities of journalists when reporting on children. Participants emphasized that the best interests of the child must remain central to news gathering and publication.
