Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that he cannot be a member of the campaign council for President Bola Tinubu's reelection because he is not a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Wike made this remark after inspecting ongoing projects in the FCT on Saturday. He stressed that campaign council membership does not equate to victory and that political relevance in presidential elections depends on a politician's ability to win their states, local governments, and wards. He urged politicians to focus on grassroots voter mobilisation for Tinubu rather than seeking positions in campaign councils.
