The Nigerian military announced that troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation Fansan Yamma, intercepted 180 units of superpower explosives intended for terrorists in Katsina State. The explosives were found along the Kaura-Zurmi Road in Zamfara State during an intelligence-led operation. The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, stated that the suspect transporting the explosives was apprehended, and additional arrests were made in connection with the supply chain.
