Manir Muhammad Dan'Iya, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Sokoto, has endorsed Atiku Abubakar's proposal for a targeted fuel subsidy. Dan'Iya believes the policy would alleviate the burden of rising transportation and food costs on Nigerians, especially low-income families. The endorsement comes ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
