The Babbe community in Khana local government area of Rivers State has warned against any actions that could harm prominent indigenes during the ongoing peace dialogue in Ogoniland, which precedes the federal government's oil resumption plan. The community, through the Babbe Advancement Forum (BAF), expressed support for members of the Ogoni Dialogue Committee, including Rev. Msgr. Pius Kii and Rear Admiral John Nicholas Bakpo (rtd.), commending their commitment to justice and transparency. The group also condemned killings in parts of Ogoni and called for transparency and fairness in crude exploration talks.
