Steve Hanke, a veteran professor at Johns Hopkins University, says he has no problem with students using AI to cheat because he can easily detect it. Hanke, who has been teaching for nearly 60 years, described himself as an 'old fox' who finds it 'very easy' to differentiate between student work and chatbot output. He pointed to the poor writing skills of today's students as a red flag when work doesn't match their abilities.
