Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Imo State, in collaboration with other security agencies and local vigilantes, have rescued 29-year-old Ibeabuchi Adibenma from suspected kidnappers in Orlu Local Government Area. The victim was abducted on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, while returning from the International Market in Umuna. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N15 million for his release. A coordinated operation led to his rescue and the recovery of arms and ammunition.
