Activities are being held across the Warri Kingdom to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, focusing on culture, homecoming, and empowerment. In an interview, the Agura Tete of Warri Kingdom, Chief Lawrence Wilbert, discussed the significance of the anniversary and the Olu's vision for the kingdom. The formal programme began on August 17, with events highlighting the Global Homecoming of Itsekiri people. An Itsekiri language competition for children was also held to promote the language among the youth.
