Morocco international Ayyoub Bouaddi is set to join Manchester City from Lille after the clubs agreed on a transfer fee. The 18-year-old central midfielder will cost a total package of £86 million, with a fixed fee of £81.3 million and the rest in add-ons. This transfer will make Bouaddi the most expensive teenager in English Premier League history, surpassing the £58.9 million Manchester United paid for Leny Yoro in 2024. Bouaddi impressed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, helping Morocco reach the quarter-finals, and will become Manchester City's sixth signing of the summer as the club begins a new era after Pep Guardiola's departure.
