Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, has died at the age of 66 after battling cancer. His daughter, Kira Taiwo, confirmed his death in a live video on Sunday, August 23, 2026, five days after the family had dismissed earlier reports of his death as false. Hassan was born on October 31, 1959, in Ilaro, Ogun State, and became one of the most recognizable faces in Yoruba cinema. His career spanned decades, and he was known for his role as 'Ogogo' in popular films.
