First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has announced plans to enhance its agritech strategy by deploying AI-powered advisory services in major Nigerian languages, including Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo. The initiative is part of the bank's efforts to improve access to finance and support for smallholder farmers. According to the bank's Agritech Alumni Impact Report, the move aims to address food security and agricultural productivity challenges, as only six percent of farmers in Africa currently have access to formal credit.
