The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, has cautioned Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) against detaining suspects beyond 24 hours without a valid court warrant or other lawful authority. He gave the directive during a supervisory tour of the Metro and Life Camp Area Commands. Sanusi also emphasized the importance of discipline, neatness, and professionalism among officers, urging them to respect the rights of the public.
