The Federal Government has launched the National Grassroots LPG Penetration Programme in Akwa Ibom State, distributing 27,000 filled LPG cylinders to women. The initiative, implemented through the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the Decade of Gas Initiative, aims to expand access to clean cooking energy. The programme targets reaching five million Nigerian households by 2030 and will eventually cover all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
