The Africa Minerals Strategy Group (AMSG) is set to push Africa's campaign against the export of raw minerals at a high-level roundtable on September 21, 2026, in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly. The meeting comes as several African countries, including the DRC, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Tanzania, intensify measures to restrict unprocessed mineral exports. AMSG said the shift reflects a fundamental change in Africa's mineral agenda towards value addition and integrated supply chains.
