Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has stated that the only significant achievement of President Bola Tinubu's administration so far is its handling of macroeconomic stability, but Nigerians have yet to feel the benefits of the economic reforms. Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, Ezekwesili acknowledged progress in stabilizing the foreign exchange market through market principles, but argued that this has not improved living conditions for ordinary citizens. She emphasized that poverty remains widespread and the cost of living continues to rise, and that economic growth without productivity and structural reforms will not deliver prosperity. Ezekwesili also criticized the lack of performance reports and the recurrence of 'budgets within budgets'.
