Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has assured victims of a fire outbreak at the SPAR shopping complex in Calabar of government support. Deputy Governor Dr. Peter Odey visited the scene on Saturday to assess damage and commiserate with affected traders and management. Odey conveyed the governor's concern and promised immediate intervention to mitigate the impact and facilitate recovery.
