The Department of State Services (DSS), along with other security forces and local vigilantes, rescued a 29-year-old man who had been abducted in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State. The victim was kidnapped last Tuesday near Afor-Ogidi Market in Isiala Amaifeke Community while returning from the International Market in Umuna. The kidnappers, armed with assault rifles and riding motorcycles, demanded a ransom of N15 million from the victim's family. In an intelligence-led operation early Thursday, security operatives freed the victim at Ihioma Community, also in Orlu LGA.
